Once you know Japanese culture, you will want to study Japanese more.

What anime and manga have you been addicted to lately?

I’m addicted to “鬼滅の刃 kimetsu no yaiba:Demon Slayer”.

The stage took place around 1912, and the story is about fighting a demon, looking for a way to return the younger sister who has become a demon to a human being.

It’s interesting, so if you like, please take a look at the comics and anime.

By the way, in “鬼滅の刃”, the swordsmen of the demon slayer corps use a technique called Breathing Styles.

One of the Breathing Styles is the Water Breathing. In the scene where Tanjirou and Tomioka use the Water Breathing, a chinese dragon is depicted. Chinese dragon is called Ryuu 龍 in Japanese.

Why is Ryuu 龍 drawn?

Because Ryuu 龍 is an imaginary beast of ancient China and the water god who does the rain, so Ryuu 龍 is in a place related to water like this.

Ryuu 龍 also appear in other anime.

For example, Haku of “千と千尋の神隠し sen to chihiro no kamikakushi:Spirited Away”. Haku’s identity was the god of the river. So, he has the appearance of Ryuu 龍.

“天気の子 tenki no ko:Weathering With You” also comes out with Ryuu 龍 in a scene related to rain.
